Targeted Areas For Thread Lifts (What You Need to Glow)

Home » Learning Center » Targeted Areas For Thread Lifts (What You Need to Glow)

Key takeaways:

  • Thread lifts offer non-invasive rejuvenation for various body areas, targeting signs of aging without surgery.
  • Dermacare specializes in targeted thread lift treatments tailored to specific areas, tightening and lifting skin for a more youthful appearance.
  • Thread lifts involve minimal downtime and discomfort, with local anesthesia used during the procedure and over-the-counter pain relievers recommended for post-treatment discomfort.
  • Despite being minimally invasive, thread lifts provide long-lasting results for one to three years, depending on factors such as the treated area and individual skin characteristics.

All women deserve to feel amazing and confident in their skin. As you age, more fine lines and wrinkles appear, and collagen production decreases. Looking for a glow-up? Dermacare Hampton Roads can help you achieve just that with a PDO thread lift! Our medical providers offer thread lifts for all areas, including sagging jowls, the jawline, and anywhere else your facial tissue is showing signs of aging. PDO threads can also target other areas on your body, like your buttocks and above the knees, and are the perfect non-invasive solution to looking younger.

DermacareHR’s thread lift services rejuvenate your face without the headache of a surgical facelift or neck lift. Contact DermacareHR today for a consultation with our board-certified dermatologists to learn more about thread lifts and whether they’re right for you.

Thread Lift – a Non-Invasive Secret

Thread lifts are non-invasive, so you’ll get back to work or relaxing on the sands of the Virginia Beach oceanfront in no time. Dermal threads are the area’s best-kept secret; the process uses tiny barbs in the threads, which hold them in place while lifting your skin and creating lasting results. When you want to look your best while soaking up the rays, come to DermacareHR for treatments that increase collagen production and don’t require going under the surgical knife. PDO thread lifts do, however, have some downtime, so you’ll want to plan for at least a couple of days of relaxation post-threading. We work with you to create a plan based on your goals.

Chinny Chin, Chin, a Neck Thread Lift?

As you age, your skin, including the skin on your neck, changes. It acquires more wrinkles, laxity, and platysmal banding, all of which could result in a double chin. A neck thread lift uses PDO threads to provide skin tightening and rejuvenation, making you glow. Tightening this area can help get rid of a pesky double chin.

  • Does a neck lift hurt? A neck lift can feel uncomfortable, but we use local anesthesia and Pro-Nox to mitigate pain and discomfort during the procedure.
  • Will I have a lot of bruising? You may have some light bruising.

Thread Lift Above the Knees

The skin above your knees can develop wrinkles as you age. A knee thread lift can reduce some of the fine lines and wrinkles and improve skin tone, making your knees look younger.

  • Does a knee lift hurt? A knee lift can cause some pain and discomfort, but we use local anesthesia to make the process more comfortable for you.
  • Will I have a lot of bruising? You may have some bruising on your legs after a knee lift.

The Transformational Thread Face Lift

During a thread lift, the medical provider inserts threads under your skin to pull loose skin so that it’s tight. Thread lifts encourage the healing process, which dumps collagen into the treated areas. It’s the collagen that plumps your skin and makes it glow.

The thread facelift can minimize fine lines and small wrinkles. Because the process encourages your body to produce collagen in the area, it can also add definition and a glow to your face.

  • Does a transformational facelift hurt? A transformational facelift can cause some pain and discomfort, but we use local anesthesia to make the process more comfortable for you.
  • Will I have a lot of bruising? You may have light to medium bruising after a transformational facelift.

Foxy Eyes and Ponytail Lifts

Instead of using dermal fillers to remove fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes or having a full facelift surgery, you can get a fox eye lift. It changes the shape of your eyes, much like cat-eye makeup can. The fox eye lift provides longer-lasting results, and the recovery time is minimal.

Have you ever pulled your hair up into a high ponytail and noticed that your face glowed more and you looked younger? You can get this look with a ponytail lift – it is similar to a surgical facelift but is a less invasive procedure with long-lasting results. It also provides natural-looking results while giving you a sculpted look, much like when you pull your hair into a tight, high ponytail.

Eyebrow thread lifts and ponytail lifts reduce wrinkles and fine lines around your eyes and forehead, smoothing your facial skin without incisions.

  • Do fox eye lifts and ponytail lifts hurt? These facial skin lifts can cause some pain and discomfort, but we use local anesthesia to make the process more comfortable for you.
  • Will I have a lot of bruising? You may have medium to heavy bruising after a ponytail lift or fox eye lift.

PDO Mini Butt Lifts

A PDO (polydioxanone) thread butt lift can lift the loose skin on your backside without the need for invasive surgery like a BBL. The threads stimulate collagen production when they are placed under your skin. The threads also help shape your bum by lifting and supporting the sagging skin and structure. The structural support can last as long as 12 months.

  • Do PDO mini butt lifts hurt? The PDO mini butt lift can cause some pain and discomfort, but we use local anesthesia to make the process more comfortable for you.
  • Will I have a lot of bruising? You may have medium to heavy bruising after a PDO butt lift.

A thread lift can last anywhere from a year to three years. The average is about a year, and the time frame depends on many factors, including the treated area and how you care for yourself after a thread lift.

Is a thread lift painful?

The process itself may feel like a slight pinch; however, we do use local anesthesia during the process to help with the pain. You may have some discomfort and aches once the anesthesia wears off. You can take over-the-counter painkillers to relieve the discomfort. If you have any of the following issues, contact your doctor as soon as possible:

  • The treatment area is severely painful.

What are some aftercare tips post-thread lift?

You can manage pain after a thread lift by knowing how long the pain should last. It can last up to two weeks for some patients. Many of our patients have stated that Motrin or Tylenol effectively manages the pain. You should do the following:

  • Take acetaminophen for the first 48 hours.
  • You can switch to ibuprofen after the first 48 hours if you prefer it.
  • No heavy physical exertion for one to two weeks, depending on the procedure you had. Your provider will let you know when you can start doing more physical activity.
