What Does a BOTOX® Treatment Look Like?

If you do not have an appointment already scheduled, then the first step is a consultation. At Dermacare of Hampton Roads, we offer a free initial consultation combined with a complete computerized 3-D skin analysis (a $150 value). This step allows our specialists to determine whether BOTOX® is right for you.

Previewing Your BOTOX® Treatment

A typical treatment takes about 20 minutes. It usually begins with your specialist reviewing what was discussed at your consultation. They will cover your treatment areas and ideal dosage.

Next, your specialist will carefully identify and mark the areas to be treated. They will use an alcohol and hypochlorous acid prep. If discomfort is a concern, ice packs or cold roller may also be applied.

Our highly trained and qualified providers have over 40 years of combined experience injecting BOTOX® in Virginia Beach and the Hampton Roads area (as well as Dysport). You can rest easy knowing you are in the most capable of hands. 

After prep, your provider will use a micro-needle to inject your BOTOX® treatment directly into the target areas. Multiple injections are typically used in each area.

Finally, ice and pressure are applied to the treated areas to reduce post-procedure swelling and discomfort. You will then receive aftercare instructions and be able to return to most of your normal activities immediately after your visit.
