Welcome! If you’re here for skincare concerns, you’re in the right place. 

DermacareHR is an established medspa in Coastal Virginia that provides the finest medical and aesthetic services in a luxury environment. We focus on research-based treatments to help you achieve a natural, youthful appearance. 

Everyone who works here is obsessed with their craft. Our Dermacare Experts view what they do as an artform that combines both medical and artistic knowledge.

Today we’re going to walk through what you can expect when you come in to see us.

Step 1 – The Consultation

Everything starts with a no-pressure consultation with one of our Dermacare Experts. These consults are available both in-person and virtually, and we use them to understand you and your skin. We’ll get to know you, hear about your skin concerns and goals, and assess your skin. 

Once we’ve listened and considered everything (we’re extremely thorough), we’ll share our personalized recommendations with you. We want every patient to feel confident about their treatment options. We’ll also delve into each treatment to explain how they’re done, what to expect, if there is any recovery time, etc. 

From there, it’s up to you to decide what’s next.

Very clean, very professional, and super friendly. Not pretentious at all. I just think some aesthetics practices can come off cold or arrogant, but not these folks. The staff is very knowledgeable and they take the time to understand your goals. The monthly membership is a good idea if you’re serious about good skincare.

Step 2 – Your Appointment

Coming in for your appointment is always exciting. We love to see new and existing patients and chat with them about their day. Expect to be warmly welcomed when you enter. Our front desk staff will have your paperwork and appointment details ready when you walk in the door. They will get you checked in and let you know if there is any additional paperwork to be filled out before your appointment. We always recommend patients show up about 15 minutes prior to appointment time to complete any paperwork.

Once checked in, one of our Dermacare Experts will take you back for your service. Sometimes this means going straight back to the treatment room; other times we will take you back to have an in-person skin assessment. Depending on the treatment, our Dermacare Experts may take you to a private room where they may:

  • Perform a routine wellness exam (checking blood pressure and heart rate, etc.)
  • Assess the state of your skin/the treatment area
  • Review what is to be expected during and after your treatment
  • Take before photos to establish a baseline for progress

After this you will be taken to your private treatment room for your service. 

Perhaps you’re here for the lip filler you’ve always wanted or for a laser treatment to remove signs of aging. No matter what service you came in for, our goal is to help you achieve your skincare dreams quickly, safely, and with stunning results. We achieve this by offering the most advanced treatments and medical-grade skincare products in the Hampton Roads area.

I absolutely love Dermacare of Hampton Roads. The staff is always friendly and they are all very knowledgeable. I never feel as though I’m trying to be “sold” something I don’t need or want. The environment is relaxing and calm. They make the whole process of scheduling appointments, consultations, and to the actual procedures they offer extremely easy. Step 3 – After Your Treatment 

Post care and maintenance will vary depending on the treatment you received. Rest assured that we’ll call to check in on you a few days after your service. This is to ensure that everything is going smoothly and that you don’t have any questions.

We’re confident that after your first visit, you’ll have made a few new friends and had a great time.
