Tina Jaffe is a master esthetician with 30 years of experience. Cosmetics for skincare are continually changing, and she’s been on the cutting edge of it all since learning aesthetic lasers in the early 90s – when they first appeared on the market and Exilis gained FDA approval.
What drew Tina to the field? “Helping others is self-gratifying,” she says.
Relationship building is important to her and focusing on the patient-provider relationship is one of the things she does to make a lasting impact on her patients. She also makes it a point to have extensive knowledge of treatments and passes it on to her patients in a way they can easily understand and use.
Getting to Know Tina
Tina lives in Virginia Beach and is a Newport News native. She is a wife, mother, and grandmother to two amazing girls, Lily and Emma.

Tina’s Favorite Treatments
When it comes to recommended products, Tina likes to share SkinMedica products with her patients. “Their science and technology back up the efficacy,” she says.
Her favorite treatment to perform is Exilis facial treatments. “It helps to rebuild collagen and provides instant gratification plus lasting results. Exilis is an ideal anti-ager,” says Tina. As a provider who has followed Exilis since it first gained FDA approval, her preference certainly carries weight!
diVa is Tina’s favorite treatment to receive. It’s a treatment that has changed her quality of life and the quality of life of many other women. diVa laser vaginal therapy is an amazing solution for women experiencing pain and discomfort for various reasons. The MedSpa is perhaps one of the most underappreciated facilities to the average person struggling with a skin condition. While a traditional dermatologist is the go-to first (and only) stop for people suffering from acne, rosacea, blemishes, natural aging, and other skin-related conditions, there’s a place even more in-tune with the challenges your skin faces – a place dedicated to skin health. In Hampton Roads, it’s Dermacare, and it’s staff members like Whitney Devall, Registered Nurse that make the difference.
Whitney has been with Dermacare since September of 2017. “I have been drawn to the field for several years,” she says. “The revolutionary technology that’s ever-evolving amazes me. I love that I can help reverse the aging process without using surgery.”
Patients appreciate a good listener, which is why listening to a patient’s concerns and giving them her undivided attention is critical to Whitney. “It shows I care about their concerns and respect what they have to say. In addition, it allows me to provide the most appropriate treatment.”
Getting to Know Whitney
“My husband and I are both from Louisiana,” says Whitney. “I take pride in my southern roots and values.”
Whitney is a wife, mother, and RN. She loves balancing these roles. She enjoys being outdoors and staying physically active. You’ll often find her chasing her toddler. She cherishes family time and loves taking her family to visit their hometown as often as possible.
Whitney’s Favorite Treatments
“As a nurse for almost 10 years, I feel most comfortable behind a needle.”
Who wouldn’t want such an experienced expert handling an injection-based procedure? Whitney is an advocate of Botox and dermal fillers, especially for lip enhancement, but her knowledge and passion isn’t limited to injectables.
“As someone who struggles with acne and an imbalance in oil and dryness, I enjoy helping patients with similar issues,” says Whitney. “I have found great improvement in my skin with our Ormedic cleanser and restoring serum. Because of this, I am a huge promoter of these products for our acne patients.”
It’s not surprising that Whitney’s preferred treatment to receive is excellent for acne. She likes Hampton Road’s BBL FotoFacial because it treats all of her problems areas – acne, laxity, pigmentation – with little downtown, which is highly essential to anyone juggling her many roles!
