Non-surgical Treatments for Face Jowls

It’s no secret that, for many, early signs of aging are most noticeable around the face and neck. As we age, the sharp contours of our chin and jawline begin to sag. Filler

Dermal fillers are a safe, effective, and non-surgical way to replace lost volume in the face, to augment facial features, and to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Filler can be injected into the cheek, chin, and/or jawline area to restore lost volume and sharpen the jawline, reducing the appearance of jowls. If you are physically healthy, don’t smoke, are committed to maintaining good skincare and health, and have a positive outlook coupled with realistic goals for improving your appearance, then you may be a good candidate for dermal fillers.

Exilis Ultra

You may be familiar with Exilis Ultra’s fat-melting capabilities, but we also use this “magic wand” to tighten saggy, loose skin. Exilis Ultra tightens skin through the use of radiofrequency and ultrasound waves that heat up the skin and promote collagen and elastin production (the proteins that are the “fill” and “tightness” of your skin). It delivers very consistent and robust skin tightening results in the majority of our patients.

BBL SkinTyte

Similar to Exilis Ultra, the BBL SkinTyte treatment offers a non-surgical, pain-free way to reduce loose, saggy skin and restore a smoother, more youthful appearance. This treatment uses BroadBand Light technology to tighten the skin and promote both collagen and elastin. BBL SkinTyte can also be used on any area of the body where firmer skin is desired.

CoolSculpting

While CoolSculpting isn’t performed above the jawline, we’ve had tremendous success when it comes to submental fullness, or double chin. The technology used in CoolSculpting uses controlled cooling to target and kill fat cells within the treatment area. In the weeks post treatment, your body will naturally process the fat and eliminate the dead cells. It’s important to note that the results from CoolSculpting are long-term, and the fat cells that died are gone for good!

BOTOX® can’t address jowls, but it can be used in neckbands (platysmal banding), which can help improve the overall appearance of your neck area.
